Since 2011, we at #wokewashing have led efforts to inquire, inform and inspire change. From Stand Your Ground which corporations including Nestle, Red Lobster, GEICO and Mary Kay support through the lobby behemoth ALEC to Nike’s Just Do It campaign with Colin Kaepernick, we encourage both thought and action. Can we expect MORE from our corporations, politicians and institutions? #YesWeCan
Our agency #wokewashing is committed to creating and sharing content that allows both corporations and consumers to ask “How can I make this better?” We want to #keepitreal and we want organizations to #keepit100 with us. Like the food industry that can legally put “natural” on foods that aren’t, in what ways are companies seeming #woke, but are indeed faking the funk? Is it fair for companies to cherry pick issues to “help” but also continue to create harm though unethical working conditions, racism, sexism, homophobia or ablism? No. So now we are taking our efforts online. In the next few weeks will build out our social media platform to provide content and a forum for visitors to #choosewisely. Institutions and individuals large and small can receive our suite of consulting services to steer their brand and platform to one that is #sustainable #equitable #empowering and #distruptingTheStatusQUO #RealChange
